INDEPENDENT REVIEW
"The Enterprise VA MAX delivers an impressive range of virtualised server load balancing features and tops these off with good performance. It’s easy enough to deploy and knocks Barracuda into a cocked hat for value."
IT Pro Review by Dave Mitchell

Malcolm Turnbull, CEO

What's the difference between the R20 and the MAX?

We think restricting our products by bandwidth or features is wrong. However we do have a restriction on the size of your deployment with our cheapest unit. The R20 can only have 5 load balanced clusters, with a maximum of 4 servers per cluster. This should be enough for most applications including Lync & Exchange etc. If you need to upgrade the licence – we only charge the extra you would've originally paid for a MAX. We think this is a fair compromise, but please let us know if you don't agree.

When customers of London-based IT services specialist, Wanstor, started to need more complex hosted services, the company’s load balancing system came under review, especially in high-volume, multi-site, multi-server environments. After consulting with a range of providers and deploying Loadbalancer.org’s Enterprise VA R20 solution, significant improvements were made for service users.

Technical Specifications

Outstanding performance

The Loadbalancer.org appliance – ENTERPRISE VA R20 is the fastest way to scale your website. Simply place two Ultra-reliable Load balancer .org appliances (in failover mode) between your firewall and your web servers. All web requests are handled by the load balancer and dispatched to individual web servers based on the scheduling algorithm you select. If any web server fails a health check it is immediately taken out of the cluster so that your customers are not affected.
